Lastly, here is a message from Dr. Jarvis concerning out time tomorrow
Living Faith Saints, I hope you all are well.
I wanted to let y’all know that I’m very much looking forward to our study of Galatians this Saturday. Many thanks to Pastor D for the kind invitation to study this letter together with y’all. I’m always looking for an excuse to spend time with Pastor D and the precious saints at Living Faith. I’m so thankful for y’all. Your dear Pastor and your church have made a great impact on my vision for the gospel and multiethnic redemptive kingdom diversity.
Regarding our study this Saturday, I want to encourage y’all in advance to bring lots of questions to our study, and come ready to talk. I truly want to hear from you. I'll offer an overview of the letter, focus on some of the letter’s difficult exegetical and theological spots, and we will think and talk about different ways to teach and preach the letter, as well as lots of practical applications. My goal is to incorporate much interaction and discussion. So, as you read, pray through, and reflect upon the letter in preparation for our study this Saturday, be sure to write down any questions that you might have or specific texts and theological issues related to those texts that you’d like to discuss. And I’ll do my best to try to discuss and answer them.
Finally, of course, there’s so much that we could talk about in Galatians. So, if there are some specific issues y’all want to press into, feel free to ask those questions and make those comments. Time constraints will require me to survey the letter, but there are some texts that I’ll discuss in more detail than others. For a more detailed discussion of some of the texts than time will allow us to discuss, I refer you to my commentary and to the bibliography there.
I very much look forward to studying (what I think is) Paul’s most important letter (although Romans is a close second, or maybe ties for the first). Stay strong in the Lord.
